We are very excited to present Nicholas Andrew Sadler’s debut release as  a solo artist, You Don’t Know Where You Are Anymore. Having known Nick for over 10 years we are ecstatic to have the opportunity to release this 4 song ep. Children of the Night will present this as a limited edition lathe-cut 7″ that includes a digital download of the title track plus 3 additional compositions. We will announce pre-orders later in the week, but for now here is a little more about our good buddy, Nick.

Nicholas Andrew Sadler is a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Providence, Rhode Island. Nick’s output has defied genre and varied wildly in style; playing in several notable rock and noisy rock groups from Daughters, who wrote, recorded and toured in support an initial 7 inch when Nick was only 19, to the anthemic arena-rock oriented Fang Island whose 2010 release reached nearly universal critical acclaim that sent Nick through the horrible ringer which reduces music to nothing but merchandise and moving units. In 2008 and 2009 Nick performed as one of 200 guitarists in Rhys Chattam’s A Crimson Grail for 200 guitars at Lincoln Center in Manhattan, New York – an important landmark that helped to further shift and cement his perspective for future artistic and musical endeavors. Nick spends his time composing and recording at home, intentionally outside of the rock band format, and sometimes scoring for legendary skateboard company Alien Workshop; he hopes to one day apply this experience to scoring film. In September 2013, his now 11 year old band Daughters will reunite to play two shows in Pawtucket, Rhode Island – a city that Nick cannot escape in this life. Nick Sadler hates music.

You Don’t Know Where You Are Anymore is about capturing the moment of creative inspiration. It’s a personal musical antithesis. This work is about considering and enjoying the components for what they are.

You Don’t Know Where You Are Anymore will appeal to those who enjoy Asmus Tietchens, Eric Copeland, musique-concrete and minimalism.
